The Shattered Glass Wall

In spite of all the ruckas he’d stirred up in the capital… in spite of the days he had spent stealing gadgets from the department stores… in spite of the fact that he had caused quite a disturbance on the rocket flight back… it sure looked like the guards were not aware of any trouble. Not that he was about to complain. The past month had been quite the experience. Like visiting a foreign country but kinda twisted. He held a bag full of goodies including some toys for the kids. For a moment he was tempted to make an appearance as Santa Clause but figured the humor would be wasted on the guards. He waited to the side as the courier approached and the gate opened. Practically on the mans heels he followed him back to his own world. When nothing happened he breathed a sign of relief and readied himelf for the next step.

Dropping his invisibility he discharged some of his energy in the form of an intense EMP. The results were quite satisfactory as the machinery sparked and some of it actually burst into flames. Which was quite fortunate as the pulse also short-circuited the lighting. Just as the guards were beginning to react and as he was about to carve a nice little hole in the enemies device he was grabbed from behind. He barely heard the "You screwed with my life for a month, Spandex Boy, now you try to screw up a potential money train. You're going down." before he refelexively went into an almost spasmatic series of teleports. The room lit up with rainbows as Spectrum spent energy making himself unhittable. He was nowhere and everywhere at once. The man that had started to crush his windpipe was nowhere to be seen, which scared Spectrum almost as much as the dwindling light source. The guards were keeping constant spray of lead filling the room, the door was sealed shut, it’s electronic mechanism also fried by the EMP, an unknown and unseen assailant was somewhere in the room, and it was getting dark. Spectrum was starting to panic when the door opened and more troops piled in. In an instant Spectrum was at the other end of the hall, making his escape.

He waited outside the complex, hoping they would not expect another assault or perhaps be too busy. Sneaking up on a guard he decided to perform a test. He picked a single guard and zapped him with a small laser beam. The guard was not affected and did not seem impaired by the bright flash that accompanied the beam. In fact he immediately started filling the area around Spectrum with lead. More lead. He was getting really tired of lead. If he was going to take this place down he would have to bring a small army. That gave him an idea.

During the course of the next month, Spectrum contacted various allies to set up a raid on the facility. He also located a meta orphanage and donated Strecho the Unbreakable Clown. We’ll see how unbreakable it really is, thought Spectrum. It lasted through a fire blast, a tug of war between two bricks, the experiments of a mad-scientist-wannabe, and various other playful romps, but he didn’t have the patience to find out how it fared passing through a reptilian metas digestive system.
