Crossover Earth '98
Issue #1 Voting Results
Finally, what you've all been waiting for, the results of the voting for the first issue of the Crossover Earth Gazette. As background, here's how I tallied the votes. I assigned a point value to each choice (3pts for a first choice, 2 pts for a second choice, 1 pt for a third choice), and simply ranked the total points of each story/character. I am allowing ties.
I would like to get feedback on the voting process as we go: do you like voting, do you want to be able to vote for more than 3 in each category, less than 3, are there additional categories you want to see on a regular basis, do you like having ties, would you rather not vote at all, etc.
Here's a voting statistic:
8 players voted (out of 13 total)
(Note that fewer players voted on characters than on stories.)
Now, in the category of favorite story, the top three are:
1. Cassandra Awakes (13 points)
2. The Very Bad Day of Leonard Deschesne (9 points)
3. Traveller's Aid (6 points)
The favorite PCs were:
1. Kayli (11 points)
2. Mongo (7 points)
3. Mark Battle (6 points)
The favorite NPCs were:
1. Leonard Duschesne and Sheriff Peal (8 points each)
2. Herrick the dragon, Kristi Brinkley, and Lightning Girl (3 points each)
3. Captain Infinity, Chariot, Skein, and Jeff the bartender (2 points each)
[Given the number of NPCs, I think it's likely we'll see quite a few third place ties.]
