Mayor Blames Heroes
Dallas, Texas, mayor placed the blame for the deaths of fourteen hostages Sunday on the heads of superheroes. The hostages were killed during police negotiation with a group of Chinese militants demanding that the United States replace the current government in China. The militants became agitated, and started killing hostages. During the firefight that ensued, all hostages and militants perished. Autopsies shows that the militants were under the influence of a mind-altering drug. The mayor had this to say:
"This sort of situation is exactly why we give superheroes an implicit license to operate. If they're not going to do their job and step in when they're needed, what do we need them for?"
