Exploration Continues
The National Oceanographic Institute announced today the funding of a second expedition to explore the depths of the ocean. Dr. Heinrich Bourne, noted oceanologist, once again will journey into the unknown. Dr. Bourne has this to say about the expedition:
"While we still are analyzing data from the first expedition, I feel it is important to keep gathering more data. In this new expedition, I plan on exploring a selected portion of the Atlantic. We will set out from Miami in January, and spend two months at sea. Our closed environment systems worked well enough the last time I'm sure we can spend the entire two months submerged, glorying in the wonder that is the undersea world."
Dr. Bourne received commendations from the National Science Council for his work to push back the frontiers of human knowledge.
